Statuarietto marble, extracted in Carrara in the quarries of Mount Bettogli, belongs to the Statuario family and represents the less pure variety due to the denser mesh of veins and the less light background color. Even if in fact it is a “second choice” Statuary marble, the Statuarietto marble is still used for high-end projects and offers a series of advantages: first of all the price of the Statuarietto marble slab is lower than that of marble Statuario and consequently it represents a good compromise between cost and result; secondly, if the Statuary marble strikes for its bright white background and the almost absence of greyish veins, marble Statuarietto is characterized by a highly dynamic surface thanks to the dense weave of branched veins which, being darker in color, create a sharper contrast with the milky white background.
Almost always worked with a honed or polished finish, Statuarietto marble is used in most cases for interior design.
