Bianco Gioia marble is one of the precious white marbles from the extraction basin of the Apuan Alps in the province of Massa-Carrara. Bianco Carrara Gioia marble is undoubtedly considered one of the most valuable Carrara stone products, so much so that it is requested by many interior designers all over the world.
Bianco Gioia marble owes its name to the Gioia extraction basin: one of the three historic quarries together with that of Colonnata and that of Fantiscritti which is located 850 meters above sea level where Carrara Gioia marble is extracted in large quantities and can be found in different qualities starting from category “c” up to “cd”. In bianco Gioia marble quarry, it is also possible to admire the famous work of the street artist Eduard Kobra: a huge mural depicting Michelangelo’s David.
Bianco Gioia marble has a pure white background and a softer structure when compared to the classic Bianco Carrara. What strongly characterizes bianco Gioia marble tile are undoubtedly the peculiar gray veins and small blackish spots called “flies” in the jargon.
Bianco Gioia marble is a very strong saccharoid rock and can therefore be used for both internal and external floors and walls. In interior design, Gioia white marble is highly appreciated for making bianco Gioia marble countertops, stairs and white Gioia marble shower trays.
