Sardinian White Marble

sardinian white marble granite

Sardinian white marble, unlike the name by which it is normally known, is actually a light-colored granite of Sardinian origin.
Sardinian white marble is extracted in large quantities in quarries located in the provinces of Sassari and Olbia-Tempio. The easy and rapid availability of Sardinian white marble makes it a granite with an excellent quality-price ratio and therefore decidedly competitive on the stone market. Another interesting aspect of Sardinian white marble is that, even if it comes from different blocks, the material does not vary in grain or tone, allowing it to be used even for large-scale projects.

Being a granite, white Sardinian marble enjoys high hardness and durability as well as resistance to scratches and acids. However, having a light shade, this granite turns out to be a particularly elegant stone product and different from the more common granites. The Sardinian white marble surface is illuminated by crystals in various shades of white as well as gray or black dots: the final chromatic result is rather homogeneous and perfect for the creation of kitchen and bathroom tops in Sardinian white marble.
Other interesting solutions in Sardinian white marble are stairs and flooring, normally polished for indoor use and with a flamed finish if installed outdoors.
