zebrino marble

Zebrino marble is a famous Italian marble which is difficult to find and with an incredibly rare aesthetic appearance, used for sophisticated, particular and luxury projects.
Zebrino marble comes from the Apuan and Versilia mining areas and the quarries with the greatest productivity, although with an extremely limited production, are located in the Carrara area.

The marvelous and highly sought-after surface of Zebrino marble slab is truly unique and unrepeatable: as the name itself suggests, this white marble is crossed by long horizontal black veins that recall the zebra’s coat. In addition to recalling the skin of the animal, the colors of white Zebrino marble also give this material an exotic and mysterious aspect.
The chromatic mix of Zebrino marble is not limited to black and white, but the nuances of this stone are many more and also include green, cream and dark grey. The Zebrino marble blocks are obviously vein cut so as to show the characteristic veins and, in order to properly enhance their veined surface, the Zebrino marble slab is generally polished or smoothed.
Since availability is very scarce and being a highly sought-after material, Zebrino marble is mostly used in internal projects even by internationally renowned architects. The most beautiful application of Zebrino marble is the vertical cladding with veins arranged vertically or horizontally: the dark veins of Zebrino marble, with their optical effect which makes them seem to extend to infinity, manage to decorate the space in which they are installed in a unique and exceptional way.
