Serpeggiante marble is a variety of Trani marble extracted in Puglia on the slopes of the Gargano mainly in the municipality of Apricena, a very active area for the extraction of natural stones. Beige serpeggiante marble differs from the classic Trani marble due to the darker tone. In any case, it is a fine-grained marble with a warm beige color and characterized by the high presence of long and parallel veins that are lighter or darker than the background color.
Serpeggiante marble is used almost exclusively for indoor applications such as flooring, wall coverings, stairs, kitchen tops or shower trays. Among the most recommended finishes for serpeggiante marble is polishing, a treatment capable of dutifully enhancing the brilliance of this stone as well as its veined pattern.
