Bardiglio Imperial Marble

bardiglio imperial marble

Bardiglio Imperial marble is a variety of Bardiglio with limited availability as it is extracted in a single quarry in the province of Massa-Carrara. Bardiglio Imperiale marble is characterized by a rather homogeneous background of dark gray or, sometimes, ashy blue with fine grain alternating with darker streaks and thin light gray veins.

The Imperial marble, whose structure is particularly hard and glassy, lends itself above all to polishing, a finish that enhances the dark veins that adorn its surface.
The typical uses of Bardiglio Imperial grey marble are indoor and outdoor floors, bathroom and stair coverings and kitchen tops. Finally, one of the typical uses of Bardiglio Imperial marble is undoubtedly the checkerboard floor combined with white Carrara marble capable of creating an extremely elegant chiaroscuro effect.
